How to sign a document using Dokobit and Smart-ID?

Open the Dokobit website and register or sign in to your account. To register, you will need an email address and Smart-ID.

After signing in, choose the option to create a new signing. This will allow you to upload the document or documents you want to sign.

Select the "eDoc" signature format if the document is intended for use in Latvia. Then add one or more files from your device that you want to sign.

If necessary, the document names can be changed so that all parties involved clearly understand what has been signed.

When everything is ready, scroll down the page and click the "Turpināt parakstīšanos" button to move to the next step.

Usually, Smart-ID will already be selected by default as one of the signing methods. Make sure that Smart-ID is selected and click the "Parakstīt" button.

Then, on your phone where Smart-ID is activated, confirm the signing by entering your PIN2 code. Once the confirmation is successfully completed, the document will be signed.

After the document has been successfully signed, click the "Lejupielādēt" button to save the signed document to your device. After that, you will be able to send it to another person or institution if necessary.

If the signing process was not completed or you want to view previously signed documents, open the "Dokumenti" section. There you will be able to see document statuses, add another document, or download already signed files again.
